PUPIL SUPPORT 

Welcome to the Pupil Support Department

 

Pupil Support in Kyle Academy is co-ordinated by the Pupil Support Co-ordinator, Mrs Reilly (Depute Head teacher) who has the overall responsibility for managing and reviewing the work of the integrated support team.

 

The Pupil Support Department is managed by a Principal teacher, comprises of 3.8 FTE teachers (including PT) . 

 

The work of the department is enhanced by the support of 11 Pupil Support Assistants.

 

The Guidance team comprises 4 Principal Teachers of Guidance each of whom is responsible for a House.

 

The school is also supported by specialist staff from the Central Peripatetic Team and the Care and Learning Team and a Wellbeing Officer.

 

Good links exist with the school nurse, other Health professionals, social work, Barnados (Hear 4 U), Skills Development Scotland, Children’s First and the CAMHS team who also support pupils.

 

The school Educational psychologist provides ongoing support and works in the school approximately twice per month.
